Good to know
Body words are short and you will use them at the pharmacy and the doctor's office. Add 아파요 ("it hurts") to any of them: 머리가 아파요 is "I have a headache", and 배가 아파요 is "My stomach hurts".
A few words do double duty. 눈 is both "eye" and "snow" (the snow one is said with a longer vowel), 배 is "stomach" and "pear", and 머리 means "head" and also "hair" in everyday speech.

Frequently asked questions
How do I say "my head hurts" in Korean?
머리가 아파요. Swap 머리 for any body part: 목이 아파요 (my throat hurts), 이가 아파요 (my tooth hurts).
Is 머리 head or hair?
Both. 머리 means head, and people also use it for hair, as in 머리 잘랐어요 ("I got a haircut"). 머리카락 means individual hairs.
